Considering Camp for a youth, or want to see how your funds are utilized. Listen to what this father had to say about camp:
Camp Hands of Hope, a program under the Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation is a weekend-long bereavement camp for children ages 5 to 18 and their parent(s) or guardians who live in South Carolina and have experienced the loss of a loved one. Camp is hosted several times a year in the state of South Carolina to provide a youth centered family focused approach to grief and healing. Camp Hands of Hope assists over 150 individuals annually. Though it costs the foundation over $400 per individual at each weekend-long camp, we are proud to provide this resource free of charge to all that attend.
Camp Hands of Hope is a program developed in partnership with Hands of Hope and funded by the Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation. The Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation has been established to provide assistance to individuals who are challenged by end of life issues. Assistance from the foundation may include: financial help to those who are unable to pay for expenses not covered by insurance, memory making and legacy building initiatives, technological support for pediatric patients and other needed resources. The Foundation is active in educating the public on the needs and care of hospice and palliative care patients and provides support and assistance to bereaved and grieving family members through funding bereavement camps, and educational materials provided to individuals and groups.
